This year at Monte Carlo we showcased Cyberwrite's latest capabilities to the global insurance and reinsurance community, and the energy at the event was fantastic. The highlights — conversations with industry leaders, live demonstrations of our technology, and the growing recognition of how critical real-world cyber data has become for underwriting and portfolio management.

At the event, Cyberwrite demonstrated how it delivers instant cyber risk insights on any company worldwide, from SMBs to large corporates, using inherent and residual risk modeling, economic impact assessments, and continuous monitoring. The highlight was our next-generation cyber catastrophe modeling, which reflects real dependencies such as cloud providers, software vendors, and supply chains — giving carriers, brokers, and reinsurers transparent and data-driven OEP and AEP outputs.

What the Industry Is Telling Us

Monte Carlo reinforced the industry's need for clear, data-anchored cyber risk understanding. With losses increasing and systemic exposures becoming more complex, insurers and reinsurers are looking for solutions that help them make confident decisions at scale. The conversations at the event centered on three themes: the need for real company-level data (not synthetic assumptions), the importance of transparent modeling logic, and the growing demand for integrated underwriting and cat modeling workflows.

"Real-world cyber data is no longer a differentiator — it's the baseline expectation. Reinsurers want to see the dependency mapping, the event logic, and the loss formation. Black-box models simply don't cut it anymore."

The Cat Modeling Workshop

Our workshop at Monte Carlo featured a live demonstration of Cyberwrite's event-based catastrophe modeling on real portfolio data. Marco Lo Giudice, former Head of Emerging Risks at Lloyd's of London, walked through how Cyberwrite maps technology dependencies across insured portfolios and simulates correlated loss events — showing how the same cloud provider outage or software vulnerability creates simultaneous losses across thousands of insureds.

Attendees saw how Cyberwrite's model generates exceedance probability curves with transparent loss formation logic — explaining not just what the losses are, but exactly which dependencies and exposures drive them. This transparency is increasingly required by reinsurance counterparties and regulators.

Moving the Market Forward

Cyberwrite is helping the market move toward a smarter, more resilient future in cyber insurance. If you want to explore how we can support your underwriting or portfolio team, we would be happy to speak with you.
